freeimage-7967369-webIt’s Our Birthday!!!

Today marks FIVE YEARS of the Ruby Slippered Sisterhood Blog….

That’s 1,667 posts and over 60,000 comments, and more than 675,000 reads from visitors we love!!

(And don’t forget the hundreds of Ruby books that have come out since we started in 2009!)

Thanks to you, Loyal Readers,

we’re in the mood to CELEBRATE!!!

In typical Ruby style, we’re going to enjoy our party by GIVING AWAY PRESENTS!!

Even if you normally check the blog without commenting, we’d really love to hear from you today! As we continue to grow and evolve, we’d need to hear from ALL our visitors about what brought you to the Ruby blog, what you enjoy seeing here, and what you’d like to see from us in the future.

Just leave a comment below, and you’ll be in the running to win in random drawings that we’ll hold throughout the day.

Remember, those of you who are Golden-Heart-eligible writers have MORE chances to win starting this Wednesday, September 24, with our Fifth Annual MAKE IT GOLDEN contest. Check out the rules here, then come back Wednesday to upload the opening of your romance manuscript (the first 50 words, maximum) for a shot at winning your Golden Heart entry fee, and more!!

For today, though, grab a slice of cake, put on your (Ruby) party shoes, and let’s party!!!

I really can’t believe it’s been five years!!!

Thanks to everyone who’s been on this journey with us, Rubies and Friends of Rubies alike!!

  2. Gwyn says:

Happy Blog-O-Versary to us! Hard to believe it’s been five years already, and look at all the books put out by Rubies in that time. It’s amazing! So glad to be counted among your number. A Sisterhood in name turned into a sisterhood of the heart, and the connection seems to grow stronger each year. Between the actual sisters and those who’ve joined with us via the blog, I can honestly say I’ve never known a more fabulous group of women. Slainte!

  3. Five years! How time zips by! Thank you to all our readers and Rubies who keep the blog going.

Heather, that’s awesome! Can’t wait to read this!! Ruby books always keep me motivated at the gym. I plug into my Kindle, hit the elliptical, and forget what I’m doing. Only trick: remember to make sure the headphone plug is *all the way in*. I once let the Kindle read aloud to everyone nearby. I didn’t know what the odd looks were for until I realized, the Kindle had been reading the love scene aloud to everyone nearby. Kinda surprised I didn’t have a crowd listening in, actually. 🙂 Thank you!!!

      • Carla says:

Heather, I never did hear from Tamara. If she works in finance like I do, this time of the year is murder and that’s on a good day. 🙂 Digital would be great, if she wouldn’t mind! LMK if she needs more info. Thanks!!

I started following you last January thanks to Darynda Jones’ FB post advertising the winter writing festival I had never written a book, just new there was a lot of pretend romance going on inside my head and I decided to give it a try. I have now completed my first novel and am working on the second and am feeling excited each and every day to put my thoughts into a story! I will be forever grateful to you ladies. Some of whom have helped me along the way without even knowing who I am! Thanks to the accountability group Elisa started too. Huge, huge motivators!
