Ruby Reboot – Launching September 2nd!

Hear ye! Hear ye!  The Rubies have something new up our sleeve!  For the last few weeks we’ve been putting our heads together to consider what this blog has been in the last ten years and what we would like it to be in the future – and we’ve come up with a plan!

Introducing: The Ruby Reboot!

Starting this coming Monday, September 2nd, we’ll have a variety of new features on the blog.  What does that mean for you?  New content on the blog, more opportunities to stretch your writing muscles with us, and more chances to use our community as a resource to share knowledge.

Under our new plan, we’ll have Wordsmith Wednesdays every week where we will discuss and workshop first lines, blurbs, pitches, and opening paragraphs.  On each Flash-Fiction Friday there will be a new writing prompt to spark your creativity.  Mondays will focus on crowd-sourcing our knowledge, from the open Mentorship Monday Q&A sessions to Indie & Industry Buzz, and from Tips & Tricks to Brainstorming the Gates.  The first Tuesday of each month will be reserved for Ruby Tuesdays – with spotlights on the Rubies themselves and a chance to share our news.  On the last weekday of the month, I’ll be dropping by to talk Goals and the care & feeding of the writer.  And watch out for periodic Throwback Thursday posts when we’ll repost some of our most popular blogs from days past, as well as talk about what we learned from our earliest releases and the older books that have influenced us along the way.

It’s an exciting time for the Rubies as we’re about to celebrate our 10th Blog-o-versary and we can’t wait to get started with this new plan!  We hope you’ll be back to join us on Monday and in weeks to come!  And, as always, happy writing!
