Snow Day!

Yeah, I knew it was coming. And come it did. About six to ten inches of it, depending on where you lived.

HERO UP

If we were to take a poll of everyone’s idea of the perfect hero, the words alpha male would echo around the world, gaining momentum like a wave at the World Series. Me, my heroes have always been—nerds. Yes, I said it.

Feelings, Wo-o-o Feelings

I hear so many writers talk of their desire to move the reader to tears with emotional words, conjuring up long forgotten memories of pain or longing, unrequited love and forbidden desire. The tools we use are descriptive images of sunsets, aromas of home baked breads, and the sounds of foghorns in the distance, among other things. If you prefer, we can use fluffy white marshmallow clouds, lilacs in bloom, and wind rustling through trees. It’s up to you. I’m flexible.

Lily in Wonderland

Lily has a past, an adiction problem, and legs that are nearly as long as her criminal record.  Lily also has dead bodies piling up around her.  Deputy Toby Dodd thought he wanted to settle down with a nice girl, until he met Lily.  Bad girls need love too.
