I think the workshop idea is fantastic! I’ve said it before; what the Rubies have is rare and wonderful. Knowing other folks realize and appreciate it makes it doubly so.

Hi, Sara!

Lucky, lucky you, having lunch with Eloisa James! She is wise and wonderful.

Breakfast with Rubies was awesome–after some hilarious conversation on topics not suitable to repeat in a public forum, we brainstormed on coming up with a Ruby Sister group workshop of some sort for NYC Nationals. We’ve all been hearing from people who say they check out the Ruby blog regularly, many of them every day (waving madly to all the Friends of Rubies!!!)

Jeannie’s talk on “Selling the Hard Sell” was great–really smart and inspiring.

And the Finalists’ Reception was a thrill–seeing so many Unsinkable Rubies receiving their certificates from greats in the romance genre. There were paparazzi and everything. (Okay, it was just the one guy taking pictures, but it was still REALLY COOL.)

Can’t wait for the Gala tomorrow; I’ve got my cheering voice on! Best of luck to all the finalists!
