CJ Chase

Biography:

CJ Eernisse Chase lives a more mundane life than her oft-imperiled characters, a fact for which her hero-husband is deeply grateful. A degree in statistics propelled her into the information technology field, working in DC-area offices of Haliburton and AT&T. After her coworkers discovered she was a member of that rare species—a computer programmer who could also craft a grammatically-correct sentence—she spent more time writing computer manuals than computer code. Leaving the corporate world after the birth of her first child, CJ quickly learned she did not possess the housekeeping gene, so she decided to take the advice of her ninth grade English teacher and try writing articles and stories people actually wanted to read. A member of Romance Writers of American, she loves to write romantic suspense stories set in times past and is a five-time Golden Heart finalist, most recently in 2009. CJ plays classical piano (badly) and teaches a special needs Sunday School class. She lives in Southeastern Virginia where she tortures her sons by taking them to every historic site and re-enactment in the area.

I’m a tightwad.
I shop sales—at the thrift store.
I reuse Dollar Store gift wrap.
