| Ruby Nickname: | Ruby Sly | | Biography: | I’m a quiet nut with the earned middle name of trouble. My first novel went to the top of the East Penn Elementary Bestsellers list. I sold three copies and became a star in third grade. As a reporter for my high school paper, I wrote a few controversial articles concerning the teachers’ lounge, the cafeteria lunches and Mickey Mouse. I spent a few hours speaking to the principal and later became the editor of the paper.
My parents wanted me to be a teacher. I didn’t. So life took me in a different direction and I put my writing to the side. But I always dreamt of completing a novel. One day, after twenty years of PTO and team mom duties under my belt and with the empty nest symptom on my horizon, I decided it was time to fulfill my dream. I found RWA, started typing, submitted, got rejected, cried, blew nose, learned some more and repeated the process more times than I care to admit until BINGO, I found a couple of judges and editors who love my voice. As of this minute, I have two books under contract with The Wild Rose Press.
That’s my past. My present; I’m married to my hero who aspires to be my personal book schlep per. I have five great kids and two adorable grandchildren.
My future; With God’s blessing, I hope to have decades more with my DH by my side, a dozen more grandchildren so that I can spoil them, and a hundred published novels . | | Hometown: | Rural, NE PA | | GH Year(s) | 2009 | | Completed Manuscript(s) | 6 | | Genre(s): | Romantic Suspense & Fun contemporaries | | Started Writing: | 2000 | | Day Job: | Corp. When I began to write romantic suspense, I tossed out several reams of paper. Why? Because no matter how I tried I couldn’t keep my villain hidden. He kept voicing his POV and writing his own chapters. I nearly ripped my hair out by the roots fighting with him to stay silent. Then I read [...]

While writing Evil’s Witness, which releases in six short weeks, I had such a [...]
