Autumn Jordon

Ruby Nickname:Ruby Sly
Biography:

I’m a quiet nut with the earned middle name of trouble. My first novel went to the top of the East Penn Elementary Bestsellers list. I sold three copies and became a star in third grade. As a reporter for my high school paper, I wrote a few controversial articles concerning the teachers’ lounge, the cafeteria lunches and Mickey Mouse. I spent a few hours speaking to the principal and later became the editor of the paper. My parents wanted me to be a teacher. I didn’t. So life took me in a different direction and I put my writing to the side. But I always dreamt of completing a novel. One day, after twenty years of PTO and team mom duties under my belt and with the empty nest symptom on my horizon, I decided it was time to fulfill my dream. I found RWA, started typing, submitted, got rejected, cried, blew nose, learned some more and repeated the process more times than I care to admit until BINGO, I found a couple of judges and editors who love my voice. As of this minute, I have two books under contract with The Wild Rose Press. That’s my past. My present; I’m married to my hero who aspires to be my personal book schlep per. I have five great kids and two adorable grandchildren. My future; With God’s blessing, I hope to have decades more with my DH by my side, a dozen more grandchildren so that I can spoil them, and a hundred published novels .

Emma didn’t know what woke her— the excitement of the celebration to come in a few hours or the moonlight streams shimmering through the window, but something had.  Her heart, like an Olympic sprinter’s, drummed against her narrow chest as she brushed her bangs from her eyes.
