Anne Barton |
| Biography: | Anne Barton began swiping romance novels off her mom's bookshelf when she was thirteen and continues to help herself to this day. It was during a semester in London that she fell in love with the city, its history, and its pubs. Once back in the United States, she married a man who, sadly, is not a peer of the realm--but a great guy nonetheless.
Anne tried on several careers including graphics designer, software analyst, and web-based trainer before finding her true callings: teaching long division and dreaming up stories about dukes. By day she's an elementary school math teacher, and by night, the award-winning writer of witty, fresh, provocative Regency-set romance.

A major perk of teaching third grade is story time. The kids stake out their spots on the carpet and get comfy. I perch on my stool, turn to page one, and begin reading. Before long, the story works its magic on all of us.

Dear Santa,
I’ve been a good writer this year. I’ve spent a lot of time at the keyboard and learned a bit about the publishing business. As a devoted follower of your blog, I soaked up all your sage advice to aspiring writers. (BTW, I loved Scrooge’s guest post on the sympathetic villain.) Best of all, I’ve made [...]
