Getting Schooled in PublishingPosted by Liz Talley Dec 7 2011, 4:00 am in learning curve, liz talley, publishing, romance writing I know what you’re thinking…usually the term “getting schooled” doesn’t have a good connotation. Used on the basketball court or in a competitive game of chess, it means someone totally better than you whipped your butt good and “schooled” you on how things are supposed to go. At some point in your writing career (no matter where you are) you’re gonna get plain ol’ tired [...] Seven Year ItchPosted by Liz Talley Oct 26 2011, 5:07 am in changes, seven year itch, writing life Oftentimes my scheduled blog date says something like “TBD” and that’s mostly because it’s hard for me to come up with something suitable for this blog. Oh, sure, on other blogs I can blog about kittens or the unseasonable weather we’ve been enduring in Louisiana, but the Ruby blog is dedicated to that journey we [...] Ruby Releases – Jeannie Lin and Liz TalleyPosted by Liz Talley Oct 4 2011, 12:00 am in Ruby Release, the dragon and the pearl, Touch of Scarlet Welcome to a double dose of Ruby releases! Since things seem to be coming in twos for Harlequin Historical author Jeannie Lin – two novellas, two full-length books and two little peas in the pod – we thought it would be great to share our debut date and give the RSS blog readers a two-for-one [...]
